【摘要】:Thisstandardgivestherequirementsforsleevinghavingthepropertyofexpandingitsinternaldiameterwhencompressedlongitudinallyandthereafterreturningtoitsinitialdiameterafterreleaseofthecompressingforce.Itisconstructedofpolyethyleneterephthalatemonofilamentyarnssuitablyprocessedtoprovidethemechanicalabilitytoconforminthemannerdescribedabove.Thesesleevingshavebeenfoundsuitableforuseattemperaturesupto130℃.Thissleevingisnormallysuppliedininternaldiametersbetween6mmand63mmandinthreelevelsofwallthickness(thin,medium,andthick).Itisnormallysuppliedinthefollowingcolours:black,white,brown,red,orange,yellow,green,blue,grey,andnatural.Becauseofitsopenconstruction,thissleevingisnormallyusedtoprovideair-spaceinsulation.Therefore,norequirementforbreakdownvoltageisspecifiedinthisstandard.(Anyvalueforthispropertyshouldbegiveninthepurchasecontract,butatypicalvalueis1,5kV/mmwallthickness,althoughalinearrelationshipcannotbeassumed.)However,itservestoprovidemechanicalprotectiontocircuitcomponentssuchaswires,sleeves,andflatcableoverwhichitisappliedasacontainingwraporharness.Materialswhichconformtothisspecificationmeetestablishedlevelsofperformance.However,theselectionofamaterialbyauserforaspecificapplicationshouldbebasedontheactualrequirementsnecessaryforadequateperformanceinthatapplicationandnotbasedonthisspecificationalone.
