【摘要】:Uponmutualagreementbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier,wovenfabricsintendedforthisenduseshouldmeetalloftherequirementslistedinTable1ofthisperformancespecification.Itisrecognizedthatwheremorecriticalrequirementscallforhigherperformancelevels,forpurposesoffashionoraestheticstheultimateconsumerofarticlesmadefromthesefabricsmayfindacceptablefabricsthatdonotconformtoalloftherequirementsinTable1.Oneormoreoftherequirementsmaybemodifedbymutualagreementbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier.Insuchcases,anyreferencestothespecificationshallspecifythat:x201C;ThisfabricmeetsASTMSpecificationD4232exceptforthefollowingcharacteristic(s).x201D;Wherenoprepurchaseagreementhasbeenreachedbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier,andincaseofcontroversy,therequirementslistedinTable1areintendedtobeusedasaguideonly.Asnotedin5.2,ultimateconsumerdemandsdictatevaryingperformanceparametersforanyparticularstyleoffabric.Theusesandsignificanceofparticularpropertiesandtestmethodsarediscussedintheappropriatesectionsofthespecifiedtestmethods.1.1Thisperformancespecificationcoverstheperformancerequirementsforwovenfabricsformen''sandwomen''sdressandvocationalcareerapparel.1.2Thisperformancespecificationisnotapplicabletocareerapparelfabricsthatdonotpatentlyfitthecategoriesin3.1.1.1.Performancespecificationsforsuchfabricsshouldbeasagreedtobetweenthepurchaserandtheseller.Thisperformancespecificationisnotapplicabletoovercoatortopcoatuniformfabrics.1.3Theserequirementsapplytoboththelengthandwidthdirectionsforthosepropertieswherefabricdirectionispertinent.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
