【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddescribesproceduresforevaluatingthefollowingperformancecharacteristicsofultrasonicpulse-echoexaminationinstruments:—horizontallimitandlinearity;—verticallimitandlinearity;—resolution-entrysurfaceandfarsurface;—sensitivityandnoise;—accuracyofcalibratedgaincontrols.RelevantterminologycanbefoundinASTMTerminologyE1316andIEEEStandard100.Evaluationofthesecharacteristicsisintendedtobeusedforcomparinginstrumentsor,byperiodicrepetition,fordetectinglong-termchangesinthecharacteristicsofagiveninstrumentthatmaybeindicativeofimpendingfailure,andwhich,ifbeyondcertainlimits,willrequirecorrectivemaintenance.Ultrasonicexaminationinstrumentsusingpulsed-wavetrainsandA-scanpresentation(rforvideo)mayalsobeevaluated.Theproceduresareapplicabletoshop-orfield-conditionsandadditionalelectronicmeasurementinstrumentationisnotrequired.ThisInternationalStandardestablishesnoperformancelimitsforexaminationsystems;ifsuchacceptancecriteriaarerequired,thesemustbespecifiedbytheusingparties.Whereacceptancecriteriaareimpliedhereintheyareonlyforthesakeofexampleandaresubjecttomoreorlessrestrictivelimitsimposedbycustomer'sandenduser'scontrollingdocuments.Thespecificparameterstobeevaluated,conditionsandfrequencyoftest,andreportdatarequired,mustalsobedeterminedbytheuser.ThisInternationalStandardmaybeusedfortheevaluationofacompleteexaminationsystem,includingtransducer,instrument,interconnections,fixturesandconnectedalarmandauxiliarydevices,primarilyincaseswheresuchasystemisusedrepeatedlywithoutchangeorsubstitution.ThisInternationalStandardisnotintendedtobeusedasasubstituteforcalibrationofasystemtoinspectanygivenmaterial.Requiredtestapparatusincludesselectedreferenceblocksandaprecisionexternalattenuator(wherespecified)inadditiontotheinstrumenttobeevaluated.Precautionsrelatingtotheapplicabilityoftheproceduresandinterpretationoftheresultsareincluded.Alternateprocedures,suchasexamplesdescribedinthisInternationalStandard,orothers,mayonlybeusedwithcustomerapproval.
